Lumi NEXT is a publishing series devoted to today’s music
and to the promotion of contemporary written music.
Directed by Lorenzo Marino, Lumi NEXT was created with the aim of offering young composers the opportunity to experience a solid editorial journey
founded on the support of artistic talent.
It is a space for exploration and experimentation, where pure
musical research and aesthetic reflection coexist.
Its goal is to combine a clear editorial direction with an open and inclusive vision:
to support both individual and collective creativity in the shared
effort to redefine a living sense of what it means to be contemporary.
Lorenzo Marino is the Editorial Director of Lumi NEXT.
Driven by a constant search for original scores by new composers, he embraces a clear mission: to weave together the most daring sonic experimentation with a lucid, forward-looking vision — one that imagines today’s music with both rigor and passion.
Lumi NEXT series is created to amplify the voices of contemporary creation, showcasing works that treat sound as a living, intellectual, and poetic experience.
Under Lorenzo Marino’s direction, the series has become a laboratory of ideas and evolving languages — a space where composers encounter the editorial care and aesthetic vision that distinguish LUMI Edizioni Musicali, and where each work
can open a window onto the future.
Our determination to promote contemporary music is reflected in the creation of a catalogue of original scores and in the dissemination of audio recordings through the independent record label LUMI.
But that’s not all! Lumi NEXT also aims to organize festivals and small concert seasons, creating both performance opportunities and spaces for aesthetic dialogue — elements that are fundamental to giving
genuine artistic breadth to the creative process itself.
